Composers Today: State Contest
ABOUT
A highly competitive contest for MTAC teachers and students throughout California. Original compositions are judged by two judges. All entrants receive written comments. The winners of the contest must perform the winning pieces at Convention in order to receive their cash prizes.

To Apply: All applications are online via the MTAC website. Log into your teacher home page, then click on Composers Today.
FEES
Fee: Varies according to division.
ELIGIBILITY
Requirements: Any student or teacher, any level or age. Composition manuscript must be done entirely by the composer, either by hand or computer.
Composition: Original composition may be any form, any style, any length, for any voice(s) or instrument(s), including multimedia.
Length: Composition may be any length. Convention performances are limited to 5 minutes.
